Baby stuff madness?!

So I have started asking friends lately what I will need for Mr. Finn. The con cesnsus is generally that you don't need nearly what you think you will, the baby industry is a big rip-off, and don't get sucked in! I think its a little too late, I have gotten a bit excited about all the shiny and spin-y options. Anyway, I thought I would share some MUST HAVES that have been suggested, and see what you all think! Must we have them??

For the nursery:

The Badger Basket Sleigh Style Changing Table

Graco imonitor Baby Video Monitor. Supposed to be all 21 century and pretty cool!

And a handy dandy Arm's Reach Cosleeper for the first months. Eric is building the crib isn't that cool?? So crafty that boy. Like Yoda talk do I.

A bag is important for diapers and junk, and it will be the new purse. So it can be pretty! Petunia Pickle Bottom Rhone Blooms Boxy Backpack.
A little later the kid will need to eat some solid foods. I love this high chair we got for Mihr and Sylas, she says its working out quite nicely:

The Svan Wooden High Chair in Mahogony.

And we need to move the lil worm around:
A gnarly stroller, this is the BOB Revolution Jogging Stroller. Since I am a runner and woudl like to start with the kid right away, I will need one of these:The BOB Infant Car Seat Adapter. And into it must go:

The Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat.

So that's the "transportation system" I guess. So far so good? Also recommend are carrying devices of varying types such as:

Deuter Kid Comfort II Baby or Child Back and the Ergo Carrier

That's just the beginning, there's also play mats, blankets, bottles, breast feeding stuff, swaddly things, health supplies, and toys. Oh and clothes that the lil monkey will grow out of every day! Wow this is going to be fun!

I think you've shown remarkable restraint. The co-sleeper is da bomb! One thing I might suggest is a Snap n' Go stroller. It's basically just a frame that the car seat fits into. It's lighter and more compact than the jogger, which I think you'll find you won't want to use for quick juants to the grocery store, etc.

My mom has the svan high chair - I talked them into it becuase it is actually solid wood, doesn't take up a ridiculous amount of space and has multiple uses as it's convertible into toddler chair to adult chair. So far, she loves it!! It looks small compared to other high chairs, my bro said he didn't think a kid would fit in it, but remarkably, they don't need all that extra plastic and padding. It works great! Can't attest to the rest of the stuff, but I hope you have a big trunk to haul all this stuff around! D
